Gangotri is small city which is located in the Uttarkashi District in Uttarakhand state. It is a main attraction point of chardham tour because the Gangotri is a part of chardham yatra but it is also a beautiful city of Uttarkashi. The source of Bhagirathi river is gaumukh. It is a glacier which is 18 km from the Gangotri city. If anyone want to go there then he or she have to trek from Gangotri to gaumukh.
